Questions about high availability #878

Closed mlowery closed 10 months ago

  1. Does quay-operator support the setup as described in Deploy Project Quay - High Availability? Any caveats?
  2. Does quay-operator support hosting components across multiple Kubernetes clusters (i.e. to tolerate the loss of any single Kubernetes cluster)? If not, is this something the authors would consider? Or can multiple quay-operators be configured to coordinate such a multi-cluster setup?

Thanks!

From this page, it seems this is possible with geo-location:

Geo-replication allows multiple, geographically distributed Red Hat Quay deployments to work as a single registry from the perspective of a client or user.

With Red Hat Quay 3.7, deployments of Red Hat Quay with geo-replication is supported by standalone and Operator deployments.
