Antenna Deployment Circuit Testing #19

Motivation

The proposed antenna deployment system requires a circuit to perform the deployment. The current design is to provide power to a Nickel-Chromium wire to generate heat and melt a fishing line. This ticket is to track the progress of developing the electrical system used to provide that power.

Reading through some existing projects (BIRDS-2 and Xatcobeo, and ORCASat) most of the deployment actuator and detection circuity is kept very easy; however, there are some inconsistencies with how much power is required. In one paper it said running about 2A across a ~5 ohm resistor (20 W), while another only called for 0.125 W of power through a resistor.

To settle this confusion, we can test these different regulators to provide the required power:
