I can confirm that the same thing happens on NixOS 24.05
btw it also happens with older macos versions. At least with monterey
I was trying to install Sonoma and I get as far as the second reboot. The disk I selected during this install is not visible. If I am not paying attention it selects the first disk on the list (EFI) and boots into it leaving a black screen and I have to kill the VM from a linux terminal. Restarting the VM fails and I have to delete the VM manually (quickgui tries but does not accomplish it) and start all over again. I have tried six times with no success.
I am running NixOS 24.05 + kernel 6.9.5 + hyprland.
After further testing (windows 10, 11) (my internet is really slow) only macos seems to not work correct

Quickemu 4.9.5 is about to be released which includes this fix.
