[META] What are the simple tasks that can help with Quicklisp releases? #2386

From the October post:

What's up with Quicklisp updates taking way longer than usual? A couple things.

First, life has been pretty crazy for me, and I'm the only one working on Quicklisp updates. If anyone wants to collaborate, please let me know. There are some simple things that could improve the time between releases.

Second, there are now enough things in Quicklisp that every month something is broken at a critical time when I'm planning a release. I need to work around this with some better management software, but that takes time and things are pretty crazy for me (see above).

What could one do if one wanted to help and collaborate?

Could we help writing the better management software too?

It seems to me a standard Debian docker image for non-lisp dependencies would be a great step towards sustainability.

Would also be interested in ways folks can contribute and distribute the workload, if possible.

I'd like to have a whatsapp chat group I think. Possibly spawning github issues for followup. I'd like to let people know in realtime what my current struggles are and invite participation from there.

Whatever helps, but this is the first time I ever hear of whatsapp in a Common Lisp context.

Discord seems like a much more popular option among Common Lispers. I would certainly recommend it in terms of usability.

Your call, obviously. I'm sure any option selected will be a big improvement over the current situation.

@quicklisp I'd like to help with whatever I can, is there some kind of group chat to discuss project needs?..
