I noticed the same thing. Hadn’t had a chance to look into it yet. The new version is what launched after I Force Quit, though.
Not for me. Mine stays on 4027. And don't see a spindump
Also had this hang (multiple tries). I ended up downloading the DMG from the site to install 4029.
Thank you all for modernizing Quicksilver for the M1!
Not for me. Mine stays on 4027. And don't see a spindump
Same situation for me
Mojave 10.14.6
Mine hung on beachball too. After forcing quit and restarting QS, the logo is updated now, but version says 4027.
Quite possible because of the Download Manager / QSPlugin changes I implemented in 5b802350675679b6576910b7a3aecca687cd8ea0
I will look into this
Thanks PJ :)
Updating from 4029 to 4030 via in-app update still hanging for me. Spindump attached.
This was fixed in 4030, so 4029 will also still have the same problem.
However please wait to upgrade. We will be releasing Quicksilver 2.0.3 shortly which has another important fix to prevent a crash on update.
I just wanted to report that I was able to successfully update in Quicksilver from 2.0.2 → 2.0.3. Y'all are the heroes this world's been looking for. :D
still hangs for me when updating from 4030 to 4031 :(
Hanging for me on 4027 -> 4031. version shows 4027 after quit & restart
This is a known issue with version 4027. Please update manually by downloading the latest version from https://qsapp.com
Thank you
Still happens in 4030->4031 though
@Proggie @MonkeyBars3k Just a quick plug that may get you unstuck after https://github.com/Homebrew/homebrew-cask/pull/121662 you can now brew upgrade quicksilver
to get to the 2.0.3 as well. :)
I'm not stuck as much as staying on 4030 in case someone needs to debug it since it's supposed to be fixed in 4030. I could manually update to 4031 but then not sure if it will be reproducible.
The auto updater hangs when I try to update from 4027 to 4029. I get the spinning beachball
