I think that damage in FTC is too random. Once, I attacked a horse-fish with a beta and it didn't die and during the same game, I almost lost a full health turtle to a goldfish! I understand that damage is random, but for pete's sake! A turtle should not get near OHKO by a goldfish. So, by the information I gathered, damage can fluctuate to more or less 30%. (for the less mathematically skilled, that means that a 10 damage beta can hit for 7 or 13) and in my humble opinion I think that's a little too much. maybe could we lower it to a more reasonable 20%? tell me what you think about that.

Sounds like a valid problem although I have never noticed any problems as big.

I fully understand xmordetx, since the 'fish warriors' have such small amounts of hp and damage the game cannot support a gameplay where units can possibly hit 2 above or 2 below there actual median damage counter. So when a fish does 2 more damage it is a big deal, and with the possibility that another fish hits two lower it becomes to random. Those random hits can lead to the game becoming unbalanced an unpredictable to some degree. Hopefully with the introduction of massive updates after Ludum Dare and the game goes into beta this issue will be addressed.
