One of our clients had a similar wish! She thought it was confusing that the bottom series represented imported electricity instead of volatile production. She suggested to have the volatile production series at the bottom and the (dispatchable) imported electricity series at the top; in this way, it is even more clear that imported electricity is used to "fill the gap" when there is no volatile production.
And I guess the same goes for the flex order, although this is even more a nice-to-have than the example described above. In other words, it would be nice to have the flex technology that is on top of the order as the bottom series in flex charts such as "hourly stored volume of electricity" and "hourly use of flexibility options for excess electricity".
Currently the series in a chart have a fixed order. It would be really cool if the series in the hourly production chart of heat and electricity would be influenced by their position in the merit order in that moment! It can sometimes be quite confusing when a must-run with a flat profile is shown on top for example :)
Proposed order (bottom -> top):
For example: it would give more information when series in the hourly heat production chart would match the merit order: I think "collective heat pump" series would have an almost flat profile above geothermal.![Screen Shot 2020-03-09 at 17 28 04](https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/32833996/76235434-5f49a880-622b-11ea-9c7b-f49a029e79bd.png)
I can imagine that this is not easy to implement
