The various hybrid heat pump (HHP) visuals require an update, especially after the addition of oil HHPs. Three visuals come to mind.
Electricity and gas share HHP table There used to be a table in the ETM that lists the electricity and gas shares for gas HHPs. See image below.
Prior to the addition of oil HHPs, the table is referred to in the documentation with reference to the prior insulation modeling:
The underlying queries are not particularly robust and require an update. More importantly, the entire table requires an overhaul now that hydrogen- and oil-based HHPs are also available. The documentation could also be updated to re-include this table with corresponding explanation on how to interpret it.
The table has been hidden with the addition of oil HHPs. However, it can provide valuable insight in the effectiveness of HHPs.
Demand curve of HHPs Currently, there is only a demand curve for gas HHPs available:
Demand curves for other types of heat pumps should be added to this chart or be made available elsewhere.
HHP threshold COP for space heating chart The threshold COP chart currently only shows the cost-optimal COP for gas HHPs.
The corresponding fuel consumer price sliders only include gas and electricity:
These sliders only affect the chart. However, the chart gives valuable input for setting the COP threshold sliders that do determine the HHP behavior within the scenario.
The chart and price sliders should therefore be updated to include hydrogen and oil HHPs.
