Upscaling solar fields and wind farms from ETMoses to ETM #1184

Connecting large scale wind farms and solar fields at high voltage and medium voltage levels.

You can already do this manually. Do you mean that this would happen automatically?

Right now, wind-farms and central solar fields are part of the "local production park" which determines the Merit Price curve. Do you expect central solar and wind to be taken out of the "local production park" and modelled explicitly in ETMoses (connected to the topology)?

What we had in mind is that etm provides the size of central solar and wind in the "local production park" and that the user can connect it to a relevant node. Because it doesn 't make sense to divide it over all the nodes as the other technologies. What do you think about this idea?

Interesting idea which raises several questions:

I checked this with @JeroenvdLogt and the issue lies not with connecting the solar fields/wind farms to a certain node, but with scaling it back up to ETM. When you scale it back up it has the specifics of residential PV and not of the solar fields. I will change the title of the issue and change this in the overview ticket.

@ChaelKruip did you see my comment above?

Fur further reference I'm transfering the issue from me to @MarjoleinSchwachofer

I see. In order to distinguish between 'central' solar fields and residential solar panels we would need to explicitly include all power plants in ETMoses. This would allow the user to associate their load with the nodes of the electricity network (now they are all implicitly connected to the HV-network). This is a big change to the model and would require at least 10 man days.
