Also: looking at the Dutch version of this chart, I see three english names:
I agree with @JAlsem 's suggestions. I'll let someone with a better eye decide the colors. Do note that grey is typically associated with gas in the ETM's current style.
@andremedeiros can we sit together to improve this chart sometime this month?
In principle, I think these are all valid points. I am just worried that well-intentioned changes will make it even more confusing...

I don't think this is very important. @AlexanderWirtz @dennisschoenmakers @wmeyers if you disagree, please re-open.
The merit order graph legend is quite unclear to me and could be made a lot easier to read:
1. The abbreviations SC, USC, CCS, CHP, CCGT, IGCC can be confusing for users who are not that much into the different technologies. With a mouse-over the full name could maybe be displayed?
2. Furthermore some plant types are in the legend that are not participating in the merit order because the number of units = 0. For example the 'oil USC' and 'coal SC' have 0 units in the graph, so it is not worth mentioning them here. Can the legend be adapted so that it only displays the plants with a number of units > 0 ?
3. Additionally the legend could be displayed in another order, so that the different colour shades are easier to distinguish. This could be done by displaying the grey icons above each other.
4. Finally in the graph a clearer distinction could be made between the coal-fired and gas-fired plant types. Giving the gas-fired plant types red colours and the coal-fired plants a black/grey colours makes distinguishing them easier.
@AlexanderWirtz Do you agree with my suggestions?
