Interesting! Yeah my first name is Quinton, which is an uncommon name.
Sometimes people think Ashley is my first name, since it's such a common first name, and Quinton is my last name, but it's not haha.
My full name is Quinton Michael Ashley.
Thank you for your reply.
So am I correct in assuming that in all of the above contexts, "Quinton" refers to you, Mr. Ashley, as an individual?
yes!
Thank you!
I am in the middle of translating the top page and have a question about the proper noun "Quinton". Japanese is considered to be one of the few high context languages in the world, and the same proper noun in English needs to be expressed differently in Japanese depending on the context.
For example:
If the full name is at least written as "Quinton Ashley", we, Japanese, can assume that it is in the context of a person's name, but I would like to know if "Quinton" is the name of the corporation or organization, or if it is Mr. Ashley yourself:
Thanks!
