There's a mod called Auto-Slabs which adds placement logic to all slab blocks (i.e. the ability to place them vertically etc.), but when it adds placement logic to the blocks from BetterEnd and BetterNether, it causes a slight texture bug. Another user had already posted this in the Auto-Slabs GitHub and the developer, Andrew6rant, responded and said this:
"This issue is due to the way BetterEnd and BetterNether set up their slab models. It can be fixed if they define slab models like Vanilla (using bottom, side, and top as texture definitions), or by user-made resource pack."
I thought I'd cc the thread here and see if this is something you guys might be able to do.
