cactbot alert not working #1820

Closed phetump closed 4 years ago

phetump commented 4 years ago

i'm just reset and reinstall the whole Win10 again after reinstall ffxiv + ACT+overlay+cactbot

testing out at Middle La nocea seems okay but when im start using in EXboss raid or TEA only timeline show up but rarely get alert and the alert itself seems to be random and not alert meant for that mechanic

some of the raidboss seems to work some are not at all

WOLEX timeline is up but not a single alert or tts was up

TEA early Aoe and Tank cleave no other than that

i also realise that after testing at Middle La Nocea i cannot do the test again unless zone out and in again

Akurosia commented 4 years ago

For the last Middle La Nocea "error" you need to stop the timeline test before starting it again (i think it was /bye to stop it) afterwards you can restart the timeline without rezoning

AFAIK, WOL and TEA are fully completed in 0.19.8 version. So it should work if no error. Can you provide some logs at the bottom of OverlayPlugin.dll tab page?

I just saw you have reinstall the windows 10. I am doubting that your system TTS is not working.

You can create a new cactbot test overlay, its preset name is Cactbot Test. And then back to your game, and type text below into chat window:

/echo tts:any-stuff

To test your TTS is working or not.

Akurosia commented 4 years ago

i just checked it and the english name for the emote is "Goodbye" (don't know the shortcut for it, since i use the icon from the ingame list)

phetump commented 4 years ago

ok test aside back to my main concern about alert in TEA and WOL and i try another raid content and some work as normal like E8 normal

This is very likely triggers from the log working but not triggers from network data. What does ACT -> Plugins -> FFXIV Settings -> Test Game Connection say?
