Playcounts not being updated in File #4281

Steps to reproduce

Plugins "Auto Update Tags in files" and "Update Tags In Files" are set as on. Played a track to completion and allowed next track to start. Note that "Plays" in paned Browser shows increase in Playcount Opened File in Id3 Editor (Kid3), and find file not updated opening file in editor causes the "Plays" count to revert to file entry

Expected Output

File Plays count should be updated

Actual Output

File Entry was not updated, only the QL database.

Test System

Which version of Quod Libet?

4.4.0 and 4.5.0

Which operating system

Linux Mint 21.1

If it's audio-related, what back-end?

Additional Information

Using a separate plugin to manually edit Plays works and writes to the file

I'm having the exact same issue on QL 4.5.0 on Windows 11
