Lowercase t and y characters #8

Open ghost opened 3 years ago

For some reason the lowercase t has its horizontal stroke too low. And y doesn't have the classic lower stroke. Are those two gliphs ever being made so the font will resemble the classic Courier even more? I'd be really happy if it was the case.

@H4T3C0MPU73R5 I took it upon myself to correct the t-flaw and add a few other things that I needed in FontForge. I have no idea how to contribute them to this repository, so I hope @quoteunquoteapps can use this in some way. I am not skilled enough to change the y, but I like it as it is anyway.

CourierPrimeFixed.zip • t ţ ť ŧ ț have been fixed so the horizontal stroke is at the same level as the horizontal strokes of u, v, w, etc. • Ȳ ȳ ↊ ↋ have been added

@FryingPanBrock Thanks for fixing this. The 'f' character has the same problem though with the middle horizontal stroke being misaligned with the other lower case characters. They are all aligned in Courier Final Draft.

@Funktronix If you look at a popular font like Times New Roman, you see that t has a short ascender while f has a long ascender. The version which I attached in the previous message imitates this look.

If you disagree, I have adjusted f in this version: Courier Prime new f.zip. I hope this helps.
