Database schema for adding new translations #601

Salam,

I'd like to add a new translation in Urdu.

I can format it in the right structure for you so it's easy for your team to integrate. Is this API representing the schema for the translations on Quran.com? https://quran.api-docs.io/v4/models/translation

Also can you confirm if you'd prefer a JSON file or a Postgre SQL db?

waAlakim o salam, you can send a JSON or simple text file with one translation per line.

Thank you, I will think about how to format the data. Easiest is probably to just send text files with one translation per line. I could also format in the JSON format you guys are using in the website: { "id": 1531966, "resource_id": 819, "text": "شروع اللہ کے نام سے جو بڑامہربان،نہایت رحم والا ہے", "resource_name": "Maulana Wahiduddin Khan", "language_id": 174 }

Regarding copyright, do you have an email address where I can connect your team with the research team who owns the translation copyrights?

They mainly want to prevent changes to the translation and I'm sure your team is already taking care of this so it should be straightforward discussion.
