New passwords not showing up #555

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Created new password with keepass on desktop, saved to dropbox
2. Open kbx file on dropbox on phone. The kbx file has been updated on dropbox
on phone.
3. Newer passwords do not show up

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect all of my passwords to show up. If I open the kbx file on my desktop
from dropbox new passwords are fine. Only on my phone they do not show up.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
keepass 1.99.7.2 android 4.2.2, galaxy nexus

Please provide any additional information below.

I'm also having this problem. I can't get my new kdbx file to be reflected in
keepassdroid even though dropbox indicates it has been updated. i open the
kdbx directly from the dropbox UI which is how i've resolved 'caching' issues
in the past but keepassdroid keeps showing me an old version of the database.
i'm not sure if this is a dropbox issue or a keepassdroid issue. one note, i
updated from 4.1.2 to 4.3 last week - not sure if that made a difference.

Update: it looks like a dropbox issue. i had to navigate down into the
dropbox cache: .../Android/data/com.dropbox.android/files/scratch/... and
delete the kdbx file which was weeks old (even though dropbox UI indicated
freshly updated). i then went back in to dropbox UI, clicked on the kdbx and
noted the file was repopulated to that scatch directory and that keepassdroid
can access this refreshed file. i've also tested that subsequent updates to
kdbx from my desktop PC are being correctly refreshed to my phone so somehow
that file just got 'stuck' but is now updating fine.
