Invalid password or key file #568

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install KeePassDoid on new phone
2. Locate keepass.kdb file from sd card from old android phone
3. Enter correct master password

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
KeePassDroid 1.99.7.2 Android Version 4.2.2 Samsung Galaxy S4

Please provide any additional information below.
The database was initially working fine for the first few hours on the new 
phone then continued to give me the "invalid password or key file" and now I 
cant open the database.  File is not backed up on any other device or computer. 
 Tried restarting phone, uninstalling and installing KeePassDroid app as well 
as sd card with same message.  Please help.  Thank you.

I just opened a new keepass2 file, Android 4.1.2 and BEFORE I entered a 
password or key code (the screen was opened then closed without entry), the 
thing closed up and now a generic file (no file name entered at all) comes up 
but I can only get a response:  "Error Occurred" the File is corrupted." 

No option to set password now shows.
