Export Cyrillic characters #1106

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Dear all,

The feature I'm interested in is correct exporting Fussion tables in CSV.

Now "File->Export" produces "?" characters instead of any Cyrillic letter
(whether source xls file was uploaded in UTF-8, ASCII or CP-1251)

Best,
Vladimir

What new feature would you like to see implemented? How will you use it?

Fusion Tables does have proper support for exporting Cyrillic characters, so if
you can give me instructions or a sample file for reproducing the issue, I will
file a bug.

Please note that we have seen situations where the browser will incorrectly set
the downloaded file's encoding, resulting in an issue similar to what you
describe.

Thanks,

-Rebecca

Dear Rebecca,

Please find the source file in the attachment (saved in UTF-8 in Excell 2010).
I've uploaded it here:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ArODYi944rSSdDhPa3NHQ3RTZmZqUVVkN0N
DcFBDQkE

and imported to Fusion Tables:
https://www.google.com/fusiontables/DataSource?docid=1mplPu4vW4Olgj3_Lo7jg4oZutY
sItsLqkGc_mU0

I also tried to export it using Apple Safari and Mozilla Firefox
(result in csv-file).

Hope this will help you.
