Very useful for crunching user input from a Google Form.

Google Form -> Google Spreadsheet -> Google Fusion Table -> Merged Google
Fusion Table

This would make my month, no, year.

yes, please deliver this feature!
even it would be better to have fusion integrated in to spreadsheet, e.g.
tables would be sheets, and the functionality through the menu - if you don't
mind to 'merge' your project with that one :-)

re: Comment 29
or vice versa: spreadsheet's sheets would be fusion-tables with the merge
functionality, and FT's data types additional types in spreadsheet...
So, the back-end would be FT (data handling, joins, view generating, pivot,
cubes etc.) and the front-end would be the spreadsheet :-)
And I would be a happy customer :-)))

I agree with comment #31, spreadsheet as FT front office but with DB power
functions.

Yes please. Fusion would be a great visualization tool for spreadsheet data.
An automatic update from SS->Fusion would enable great functionality.

This is the ONLY thing preventing me from using Fusion Tables. All my data are
in huge spreadsheets that I am constantly updating. I need my changes to flow
through to FT automatically (or with a button push, similar to "Publish to Web"
button). Otherwise it's double the work to update the spreadsheet and FT.

spreassheet linking is very important for data workers and pupularity of fusion
tables. Any news on progress.

Original comment by creditwa...@gmail.com on 3 Nov 2011 at 1:31

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
I just saw a Google video on fusion tables and its use on maps. For my purposes
rapidly changing data needs to be done through a spreadsheet, not a form. Thus
being able to have Fusion Tables update semi-automatically when spreadsheet
data is changed would make it possible to use FTs. Thanks for considering this.

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
to all who REALLY wanted this to happen, this will NEVER happen as we can see,
so the next best thing is just use spreadsheet on the fusion table as your only
data.

Original comment by sonicwa...@gmail.com on 9 Nov 2011 at 6:55

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Indeed it would be great if there was a relationship between the fusion
spreadsheets and tables. I worked a bit with the Geo Gadgets Speadsheet allow
geocoding points, creating kml and forms with georeferenced data. The potential
of fusion and Spreadsheet tables with sql query .. would be the best!

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Is it just me or does this feature seem like it should be a no-brainer? There
is always new data pouring in. Having to manually export and then import the
data is a huge waste of time. You'd think there would be a way for Google
Tables to ping the source spreadsheet for new and/or revised information.
Please make this happen!

shhhhh you guys.. if we pressure them, they'll find the need to hire know-how
people. Which will then incur costs. Which will in turn transform this into a
costy "premium" thing, and right now, I like "free".
