3-D #173

I found myself just staring at my fusion-tables LCD screen, wondering how in
the world I could use this thing. Then it dawned on me. My world is 3-D, not
2-D. Problems and information co-exist in a 3-D world. Fusion Tables needs to
fit into that 3-D world by being able to create and visually represent that
information in 3-D.

This is a bit of bookkeeping for all our feature requests - please excuse the
extra email.

I would like to represent physician practice and hospital readiness for ARRA
(Healthcare reform) incentives as a score visualized in 3D where positive
values indicate higher readiness and negative values lower readiness or
barriers (such as no available broadband). States are developing reimbursement
formulas without access to this information and this is disruptive to medical
practice.
Thank you for the timely and helpful mapping capability.

Hi there,

That sounds like a worthy cause. So where does the 3-D visualization come in?
On the map? On the charts? Is there an example of something similar you have
in mind? Are we talking about points or polygons?

Thanks,
-Rebecca
