highlight feature when clicked #186

What new feature would you like to see implemented? How will you use it?

When a user clicked on a feature in the map, it would be wonderful if the click
event would highlight the feature in
1)a different color; and/or
2)a different width/size

For example, if I click on a blue polygon feature, clicking on it would not
only open the info balloon, but would also change the polygon color to red, and
make the outline thicker. Or something like that.

This would be very useful within any interactive map, as it allows users to see
the extent of the data feature they just selected. (ie - how big it is, and its
exact boundaries).

Thanks.

This is a bit of bookkeeping for all our feature requests - please excuse the
extra email.

The option to merge provided geoplots with standard boundaries would be very
useful

on

An on/off-feature for levels in choropleth maps at various level would be
awesome, with the possibility to compare regions beyond traditional state
boundaries?

Hi there - much of what you describe is already possible.
Please see the custom intensity map tutorial:
http://www.google.com/support/fusiontables/bin/answer.py?answer=1032332

...and the sample code for swapping in a different table's data at different
zoom levels:

.html

Thanks,

-Rebecca

This is a great idea and I am looking for exactly this solution for my map.
However, I dont see a solution to this as yet. The intensity map tutorial does
not provide a solution to this question. There has been no traffic on this
post for a year - has a solution been found?
