ODBC and Data Integrity #529

Something similar to an ODBC connection would be just swell, as well as sort by
reputation. It would be awesome if the USPS could keep an updated record of all
zip codes, or ebay an updated table of their categories.

If I knew for certain that the data was from a reputable source, I know I would
use it.

Also most popular and publish to region.. I see a lot of regional specific
tables. Maybe for an office building, maybe for an entire city.

ODBC Connectivity through a secure connection would make this very useful.
What would also be fantastic would be an ODBC Sync Bridge utility. A simple
GUI would allow users to select an ODBC data source and table and the utility
would create a fusion table that mirrors the ODBC Source table. A sync
interval would be specified and the utility would run as a service
synchronizing the local ODBC table data with the fusiontable data. It may also
be desirable to select which fields are changeable by the sync utility.

Also - it would probably be a good idea to be able to apply a filter to the
data to be synchronized.
