1. Yes. "duplicate session" works based on the current top-pane.
2. I see your point. Since users would want to have shortcut-key/menu-option
for such different things, I would like to make it user-configurable. We will
provide option in 'preferences' to configure shortcut-key/menu-option.
Thanks

hi Nick
0.5-beta supports configurable keyboard shortcuts, that allows you to specify a
shortcut for your use.
But I think you would prefer to have a configurable menu option as well.
I expect to do that in the coming weeks.
Let us know of any other nice-to-have features as well.
Thanks

This is exactly what I was looking for.
I didn't try to use the shortcuts, but I noticed that I was allowed to set the
shortcut to be something that already existed (I swapped out horizontal split
for duplicate horizontally) without any sort of indication that the shortcut
was already in use. I cleared the standard shortcut manually.

You will be allowed to set the shortcut of another existing one.
But when you click 'ok' it will complain 'Duplicate shortcut configured for ...'
So I think this works sort of expected.
Let us know if you don't get the error on clicking 'ok'. That will be a bug.

I had 2 tabs open and on the second tab using duplicate-horizontally split
properly but duplicated the session from the first tab.
I feel like the "duplicate" should always duplicate based on the tab that
currently had focus.

Yes. That is a bug.
This is fixed by rev# 1dff19abd3f9
Next release should have it.
