BPBible crashes on open - how I 'fixed' it #240

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium.

On both regular and portable BPBible of any versions, from .46 on, all of a
sudden they would crash on startup. Tried all kinds of things, reinstalls,
reboots, etc., nothing worked.

What does work: Right click the program and open as Administrator. Works like a
charm every time. Windows has changed something about how it handles security I
think.

That certainly sounds very wrong, and not necessarily anything we can can
control (maybe the owner of some important file has changed to not be you).
However, a few questions which might help:
1. You say "from .46 on". Did you have .45 working? If so, does it still
work? Did it stop working from when you first installed .46, or did .46 work
when you first used it and stop working later?

2. Does the program always crash on startup, or only sometimes?

3. Does the crash give you an error message? If so, could you please include
the full text of the message (or a screenshot) here?

4. Have you tried reinstalling to a different location from where it was
originally installed?

5. What is your user name on Windows? Did you at any point change which user
you log in as?

With no feedback for more than a year and no way of reproducing it I'm going to
close this.

(different computer)

Not looking for a response, just reporting go be helpful to the devs,
