Use 1./1./1. numbering for markdown lists #24

I would usually write the numbering as:
1. first item
1. second item
1. third item

Then markdown handles the numbering. Saves from having to re-number items like here when something gets added. I'm just not sure if .qmd will support it properly, any idea?

offtopic, but creating previews for PRs might be useful e.g. for this. @jmaspons I think we would need to use e.g. (free) Netlify instead of GitHub Pages to achieve this -- any thoughts? I can help setting that up if there's interest
