There is now API to create an environment, so use that on newer R versions. Cf. https://github.com/wch/r-source/commit/1902251a1e7848967be1f1e3525c738c63f8b9de#diff-f80fbe1c24fd75e44326c4169107c6db214b7188f2a16464ff38b248417164fdR1234

Fixed in 1aa470c2c435c32e275533d3e936ed3927c51218, but I'll keep this open until it is published on CRAN.
