I haven't used profvis very much, and I'm not familiar with what exactly jQuery is used for in this package, so while I verified that the example in the README.md works as expected, I haven't done any sort of testing for this upgrade. Hopefully you know exactly where it's called and can verify that this hasn't been a breaking change.
I did consider using jquerylib, but the latest version of jQuery bundled there is 3.6.0 which I'm pretty sure has a few vulnerabilities as well at this point.
Please run tools/update_jquery.R youself to verify that the updated source file is legit!
