Because we wrote it? Will came up with the wording when it was just a GitHub readme and I put the site together.
We're not averse if other people want to write something down the line...
At the time, Charlie and I were admins and Jeroen had not formally joined the project yet. Definitely open to adding more or different acknowledgements, or creating a separate section for this.
Something like a "team" section. To acknowledge your work, and also to help people put faces to the project even if your goal is to represent the whole community.
Yes, we should definitely add that when we have a 'bench' of people. It will make the project more credible to the community + show that we're not a faceless organisation.
Do we want this for just admins, or moderators as well?
I don't see why not both. But I think it only sends the right message when we have some 6-7 people at least.
I proposed a team page at https://github.com/r-multiverse/r-multiverse.github.io/pull/15. @maelle and @jeroen, please let me know if/when you would like to appear on this page, and with what roles. @shikokuchuo, please feel free to add/edit your bio.
at this stage I don't feel I contribute enough to be featured on the team page, unless it somehow helps the project. Thanks for asking!
The above discussion is a bit dated. Given R-Consortium acceptance of the R-Multiverse project, I'd like to propose that all 4 of us are included on this page. We are also all listed in the (draft) governance document at https://github.com/r-multiverse/r-multiverse.github.io/pull/16.
We now have a "team" page: http://r-multiverse.org/team.html
@maelle and @jeroen, please feel free to edit https://github.com/r-multiverse/r-multiverse.github.io/blob/main/team.qmd in a PR if/when you are ready.
@wlandau-lilly @shikokuchuo I can't help but notice that on the website, only Jeroen is named, why not you two? :smile_cat:
