I'm creating a textbook using quarto live for both R and Py code. I have found quarto live very useful for the exercises, but the initial load time and code cell formatting makes it less suitable to replace every single code cell in the book.
I believe my ideal setup would be that all code cell outputs are included in the page by default during build time, so that they appear instantly when a reader is looking for content and quickly scanning pages. These cells would ideally look the same as the default quarto code cells, but include a button ("Edit" or similar) which when pressed changes the appearance and enables editing of the code including making all packages / variables that were defined earlier in the document available to use in the currently activated code cell (so partly related to https://github.com/r-wasm/quarto-live/issues/15). The Panel documentation has a somewhat similar setup where clicking to run any particular cell, will make sure that all cells above are run as well (but they don't allow editing of the code).
