Installer image is not compatible with Ventoy #17

Can you try without using Ventoy?

Not sure which OS you use to prepare your USB drive - can you try with win32 disk imager (if windows) or plain dd if linux

I suspect that Ventoy is trying to be clever and messes up the partition layout of the USB.

That was my second thought after a wonky USB drive. Writing the image straight to the USB drive gets me to a mouse pointer, which I can move around, on a black background on TTY7.

Waited for 10 minutes, way longer than the stock live image takes to boot. Ran top on TTY2, nothing going on, 0% CPU.
