Songbird appears to still use native rendering #5

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Launch songbird with ezgdi installed
2. Fonts appear to be rendered by system instead of EZGDI
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Latest version, XP and 7

Do you have Hardware Acceleration enable in Songbird by any chance? ezgdi
doesn't work at all with the new DirectWrite/Direct2D HW acceleration routines
and so it renders using cleartype-style algorithms. A simlar effect happens in
Firefox 4 betas/nightlies when HW aceleration is enabled
