Hi Dave,

it would be grate the option "scan the hole PC" in the timing. It was in the
4.38, but it seems in 5.04 not. My sytem is Ubuntu 12.04.

Thank You and thanks for this software!

Hi Levi,

Thanks for the feedback.

1. I don't think you need to scan the entire system. This kind of scanner is
intended more for individual files and directories.

2. You can scan the entire system if you would like to. Ensure you have the
"recursive" option enabled in Settings. Then select "scan a directory", and
click the "File system" (or "Computer", whichever) option on the left side of
the directory-selection dialog.

I have Ubuntu 12.04 also. ClamTk worked until I updated it. Then it didn't scan
the files but just stated that it did scan the 3 million or so and it doesn't
automatically update the version or engine but says that it needs updating even
after installing 5xxx.

@hbar24,

This sounds like a separate issue than the initial "bug" report.

1. What version of ClamTk are you using? Do you have 5.04 installed?
2. Open a terminal window, and type "clamtk" without quotes. Does it come up?
If not, what error message comes up?
3. No, ClamTk does not update itself (the gui, that is). That's a PITA to make
work across 12007 Linux distributions.
4. If you are not using 5.04, yes, it's going to tell you there's an update
available.

Hi Dave,

Thanks the quick answer and it's working thanks again!
Only I can't set it in planning-option. So the automatic-scan can scan only the
home (my ubuntu-PC is a NAS with more HDD's, because of this is that important).
But OK, so is the neu version.

I'm closing this for now. If there's a smart way to do it later, we will, but
right now it seems done.
