Has taxonomic identification changed? #18

Is the ability to identify a given taxon low, or did the identifiability change during the time series? Thus far I'm assuming that identifiability was constant during the time series,

For the AFSC, see here: http://www.afsc.noaa.gov/Publications/ProcRpt/PR2009-04.pdf

@mpinsky This is when I realized that taxonomic reporting changed. This is related to our recent emails.

We should eventually compile all the information from those emails and put them here. The subject line in my inbox is "Fwd: Changes in taxon reporting in AFSC surveys?"

partially addressed by cf87059d8d4edcf84655ad9b03634fde3c84991e (just EBS)

Can be further evaluated by #39 , as a way of estimating whether detectability has changed over time.
