I've been considering this migration for a while. This migration would entail a complete purge of the contents of this repo, following a rewrite of the trajectory simulations in Python 3. Reasons for this migration include, but not limited to:
Exploring the Hyperloop design as a testbed for practicing model-based systems engineering (MBSE)
Exploring the Hyperloop design as a testbed for practicing multi-disciplinary design optimization (MDO)
The choice to use Python over other programming languages is because it has access to numerous libraries for scientific computing and engineering analysis, is open-source, available on all operating systems, has great community support, and can easily be setup for seemless contributor workflow.
This repo rebirth will likely be licensed under Apache 2.0
