Loosing page when restarting browser #173

Closed bitboxer closed 1 year ago

When I have to restart my browser, it opens the reader view page, but it has no context about what site it was on. Which is bad because I cannot remember the URL to the page the reader view was activated on and loose that page.

I am not sure why the reader view is not switching to the original page for you. On Chrome, if I have a reader view on a tab and use "chrome://restart" on another tab, after the restart, the old reader view page switches back to the original page.

Do you still get the following message:

Reader's content is not available anymore. Switching back to the original page in a few seconds...

I cannot reproduce it any more with a normal restart, but force quitting Chrome still does this for me.

Ah and yes, I get that text. Clicking on the X also does nothing.

From the next release, you will get the URL in this view as well. So in case the extension cannot redirect, the user still has access to the original page.

Thanks for the report.
