@Gsantomaggio if we want to merge this, we have to bump the Go required version of v1 client to 1.18. I'm ok to do that and release a new minor version. What do you think?

@Zerpet I agree. Looking the https://endoflife.date/go I think that it is time to bump to 1.8. We have been extremely conservative here:)
