how can I use this on my Synology NAS?

I don't own one, but it looks like they're Linux machines powerful enough to run custom software but not including a build toolchain on the machine.

Could you check there's indeed a regular /proc filesystem including /proc/net/tcp etc? Then you might have a chance cross-compiling.

the /proc/net/tcp file is present..
