I'm not sure about moving the docs to master, it would mean we have a lot of non-code commits on master.
Converting TeX to md in all inline comments is a major piece of work. I think the better way to go at it is modernizing the TeX-to-HTML export.
Maybe someone in the community likes doing web stuff?
Edit: I'm going to tag this "good first issue" because handling the docs means accidentally reading a lot of docs ;) Edit2: Maybe there are some technical writers with a background in TeX who are desperate to contribute to projects as part of Hacktoberfest. I know the chances are slim, but we'd really appreciate that. Anything web related I touch is several shades of ugly.
The documentation is currently maintained as tex in a separate repository at https://github.com/raboof/notion-doc .
