What license is this available under?

Honestly, I'm not sure. The creator's content, the story, the designs are all her own. The code I feel is nothing I would want to protect. Is there a license that releases the code while retaining the story and design?

You can declare something under multiple licenses. I've seen it done before. Often what happens, with say old games, is that the source code is declared under an open license, but the music/audio/text/game assets are still under copyright.

In this case you have 3 parts to your project here and may wish to license each separately. For instance the game's code may have one license, the music another and the graphics/scenario fall under the copyright/license of the comic (whatever that is).

Creative Commons is a great place to look for a license. They have a tool to help you choose the right license for your project.
