IRC #20

There are a lot of IRC channels that we should maintain some kind of presence in. It's a bit of a pain to sit in all of them waiting for replies. It would be nice if Peril have a bot watch them, so we can notice unanswered questions somehow.

There are a lot of details that I'm not sure about here, though. How do we detect an unanswered question? Look for isolated bursts of activity, maybe?

A participant with no responses back?

If there is a flurry of activity around the same time, maybe assume it might be answered. IRC sounds hard. Also, a tad creepy.

Yeah, I can't think of anything but some sort of time-series analysis. Just collecting ideas here :bulb:

I tend to do this by hand right now: lurk in #openstack-sdks, say, and ping someone in HipChat if there's a question.
