I have been annoyed a number of times by ffap "helpfully" identifying random words and URLs as filenames, and therefore making me move point before I can use C-x C-f. We should make C-x C-f do a normal find-file, and have an alternate way to get ffap functionality. https://github.com/abo-abo/swiper/issues/1398#issuecomment-356373391 suggests a good way.
