When Emacs prompts me for my SSH passphrase via Magit, it does not display what I type in, for obvious reasons. However, if I use a binding such as C-k to kill the passphrase, then the killed text is added to the kill ring, preserving it in easily accessible form for the duration of the Emacs session. This is problematic, and killing text should instead just perform a deletion in these contexts.
