With the aid of https://emacs.stackexchange.com/q/54455, was able to trace this to AUCTeX. Turns out they accidentally broke compatibility with Emacs 26 sometime in February, so my general package update in https://github.com/raxod502/radian/commit/cef55b36985e4bc57c2d00e92fc2009178e34a31 broke Radian CI.
Submitted a patch upstream on the mailing list, which should eventually show up at https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/auctex-devel/2022-04/index.html, and in the meantime pinned Radian on the older AUCTeX version (from emacsmirror-mirror).
