Nothing Ear 2024 - Connected, but not allowing control. #20

I am able to allow Chrome to access the serial port, but it will randomly disconnect and lose the permission. But, after I am able to keep the serial port permissions within Chrome, I still cannot control anything. I am on an Apple M1 Pro, Sequoia 15.1

I have made sure all of my permissions are properly allowing Chrome to access bluetooth devices, and I have made sure my site settings within Chrome will allow this project to ask for serial port access.

The two screenshots I added show the error I am finding. I added the second screenshot because Chrome added a new AI feature for the console to explain the error, so I figured that was useful to some extent.

Are you launching the Ear page directly? It's recommended to get through the main site to connect

Yes, I am navigating to https://earweb.bttl.xyz

Although, when I just navigated to the URL through GitHub, it had me reauthorize the serial port permission, and so far this is staying connected and allowing control. When I first attempted to use it, it stayed connected for about 10 minutes before I started experiencing the issue.

I also downloaded the PWA that is available through Chrome, and I feel like that is when the issue started. Should I forgo the PWA and just stick to keep this in a tab in the browser?

Any other information that you need, I would be happy to provide it. Just let me know. Thank you for your quick response.

It's not the first time I hear about issues on Sequoia, wouldn't be surprised if there is some options that disconnect it after a while for privacy or energy reasons, I don't have a Mac to test but it would be interesting to find what's happening
