Schema publishing on releases not working #1038

When creating a release and tagging the version, the CircleCI workflow does not trigger to publish the schemas.

Still not working, rc.2 schemas have not been published. We still need to publish them manually. Could this be something for the CircleCI support? I don't have a clue how to fix this.

I made yet another attempt, which also failed. This really feels like a bug in CircleCI. We are following the documentation closely. Or we simply migrate to GitHub Actions.
