research the degeneracy factor for Ti:Sapphire and other crystals. #182

The degeneracy factor is "gamma = 1 + g_2/g_1"

Where g_1, g_2 are the degeneracy of the lower and upper energy levels.

The resource at http://www-personal.umich.edu/~alberliu/writing/lasers/TiSapphireLasers.pdf states that g_1 = 3 and g_2 = 2.

Thus, we have a degeneracy factor of 1.67.
