2.3.2. Parallel application programming interfaces #47

Similar to ticket #46 I think 2.3.3 can be either zapped or highly reduced.

i.e., we should/could compress 2.3.1 & 2.3.2 and highlight main concepts immediately at the start of the section.

We can then promote 2.3.3 as the real background and "comparison" work for this section.

Ask and you shall receive (... eventually) ! Please see the new section 2.3.1 entitled Comp Arch and Parallel Applications. I merged 2.3.1 and 2.3.2 and made the total writing much more concise.
