Based upon a meeting that Jeroen and I had with NSF earlier today, I would like to suggest a target date of 15 Sep, no later than 01 Oct, 2021.

Call for papers
As Shantenu mentioned the editor for that section is indeed Jeff Carver, and they provide an email address for submission scope: cise-software@computer.org

We (@wjlei1990 and I) will start working towards an abstract we can get checked out!

(Next week is AGU abstract writing anyways, and one more abstract won't hurt...).
