I've several times found the nak to be in a state where every page load was taking 60 seconds. The only thing I can thing of that might have kicked off this behaviour is that I've been testing what happens when the user enters incorrect wifi passwords.

but the behaviour is pretty consistent -- once the netaidkit is in this state, every page load takes 60s. screenshots here:

hm. actually, i tried again with a private browsing window -- it seems that the locale selection and login pages actually do load quickly, but it's only subsequent logged-in pages that take the 60 seconds.

or at least one logged in page took 60s. the next one i tried to get just timed out after 10 minutes. this poor netaidkit is very unhappy!
